There is no way to say no to that face! And I am not even an animal lover! We had a dog that was half daschund, and had a lot of black, so that picture brings me lots of memories. He was a great dog for our kids.

I agree with the others, food panty. Catching up with you today. I wouldn't have been able to resist that adorable dog either. I know you are stressed but at least your house is sold. I'm hyperventilating because my house has not sold and we need to move in 4 weeks! I think God is teaching us all a lesson in trust.

I had to read up on your housing status and met your new family member, Franz. I wouldn't have been able to resist the eyes either.

And plus, I have a feeling that God is in the middle of all that. Don't ask me how I know. I just do.

"Give and it shall be given to you, good pressure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over shall the Lord give to your bosom."

(I'm paraphrasing that verse, but it's the one that came to mind. You gave Franz a home, and God noticed. Expect things, Laura.)

I will be praying toward the perfect home for you that I'm positive is going to miraculously appear. The miraculous ones make a better story and God knows you are a blogger. Grin.

The spinach could be used in omelets or in an artichoke dip. I also like it with fresh grated Parmesan on top, simple yet yummy!

Love the red pencil skirt! I actually got mine at...shhhhhh. Target. $24.99. It is actually a little more coral which is better for me anyway.
But I'm so glad I got it. It's long enough and everything! :) I love red.
A decorating friend once told me that EVERY room should have a touch of some shade of red. She said it just POPS! No matter what. You guys would get along great. :)

Black bean and corn salad for starters. How about adding the green beans to tiny boiled red skins and some thinly sliced onion. Start getting creative or donate them to your local food bank. Donating always makes me feel good. Have a happy and safe Memorial Day!

Have you ever tried Black Bean Brownies? A 'healthy' way to eat chocolate! Win-win! :)
Be sure to puree the beans well and use a good quality cocoa or melted chocolate. I found people can't tell the difference.
