Every Sunday I take some time to peruse the Sunday paper.
“Woman in Black Reading a Newspaper” Rik Wouters, 1912
Sometimes I read outdoors…

“A Lady Reading a Newspaper” ~ Carl Larsson, 1886
…on a rare occasion I read it while still lying in bed.

“Woman Reading in Bed” ~ Gabriel Ferrier
I separate the circular’s and go through the coupons.

“ Reading Le Figaro” ~ Mary Cassatt, 1878
I refer to a list that I keep in the kitchen of things that are needed for the household. I cross reference the two to see if there are any matches.

Of course the internet has also entered into the picture. Did you know if you go to the online site for Target and scroll down to the very bottom under a column listed as “Ways To Save” you can find even more coupons? I click and print on the ones that interest me. The beauty is that Target allows you to use their coupon in conjunction with a manufacturer’s coupon. It’s even better when the item goes on sale. So I wait. Sometimes a week, or two, or three. Then I will see it in the circular~ the item is on sale.
TIP: I am thankful that I printed out the Target coupons ahead of time because when the item finally goes on sale the coupon is not available.
Last week I purchased a lightweight Mossimo summer sweater and a thin Room Essentials white cotton blanket. They were on sale and I had a coupon for each item too. Crazy good prices that make me (and my wallet) deliriously happy.
I imagine that the entire family might enjoy the new cotton blanket.

But the super bargain was the Mrs. Meyers products. I have spoken of my love for Mrs. Meyer before. The company uses natural ingredients and sweet smelling essential oils. The cleaning products are biodegradable and packaged in recyclable bottles.
I had a manufacturer’s coupon and a Target coupon (which I had printed out 2 weeks prior). I had a hunch that the products would go on sale to celebrate Earth Day. My hunch was right. So I picked you up one of my favorites to include in the upcoming DTA Mother’s Day Giveaway.

Have a beautiful May Day!

Love the paintings, especially the two by Carl Larsson.
I actually bought one of the Mrs. Meyer's products for the first time about two weeks ago, Laura. I got the wipes to try before getting a full bottle of all purpose cleaner. I got Geranium, I believe, and plan on using them soon. I just need to be careful because some of the oils scents bother my eyes, and I'm hoping this will be enough to smell good, but not enough to bother me.
These paintings are amazing!
The colors are so beautiful...
I love Mrs. Myers!! I did not know Target carried it..or that you could use two coupons there. I don't shop much, Mr. Math does the grocery shopping and it's just the two of now so we sort of have our routine. Oh, and I love the pictures too!
Happy May Day!

Great tip, I did not know about the online coupons being used with the manufacturer ones. Love this product too! Adore every piece of artwork featured in your post today.

Thanks for the tip on Target coupons! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
I bought a sweater and Mrs. Meyers last week at Target TOO! :) My girls were big-eyed, "Mom, you're buying a SWEATER?" "Yes, loves. It's on sale, AND I have a COUPON!"
And it IS a lovely shade of green.
Thanks for sharing your helpful tips. This is a GREAT one!
hugs,

I am a devoted Mrs. Meyers user. I was given a sample when they were first going to be coming out and fell in love. I waited and waited and when it hit the shelves (I think cost plus was the only place I could find it at first) I was on it. I had no idea it had reached such a mainstream that you could get it at Target now - that is great news!
I have a giveaway going on as well :)
I have never tried Mrs. Meyers! I will have to look into that!! And thanks for the tip on Target's site!
Your are so creative with this post to use those pretty paintings!

Oooh I love all those paintings! Our world is sadly losing it's appreciation for classic art; I really hope I can find a way to teach my daughter about it as she grows up! Just so beautiful!
Target is opening in Canada very soon and I'll have to check on whether we can print out savings coupons. Thanks for the tip! ~ Maureen
